Disaster Relief Task Force
Disaster Relief Task Force is a military outfit for the National Defense Secretariat to be able to provide immediate support with specialized personnel and equipment to those commanders whose areas of responsibility are under the effects of a natural or anthropogenic phenomenon that may affect civil population whose capacity is surpassed.

This outfit moves to any part of the national territory, under request of the military commander who is stationed in the affected area. Personnel, material and equipment allow the immediate performance of the following activities, among others:

  • Air and land reconnaissance.
  • An immediate report on the existing situation of the affected area and the analysis of damage control.
  • Medical and dental care, as well as food distribution.
  • Collaboration in debris removal and road restoration.

The Disaster Relief Task Force is composed of two components:
