The term to receive the “Cartilla” (National Military Service Card) was extended.

In accordance with the Military Service Law and Application Guide, the National Defense Secretariat informs those born in 1993, anticipated and belated solicitants, who signed in and were drawn in 2011 to carry out military service in 2012, that the term to receive the “cartilla” is extended (February 4,5,11, and 12) in the reception centers from 0800 to 1300 hours.

The reception centers in Mexico City and surrounding areas will continue functioning in recruiting boards in Municipalities and Delegations, likewise in the states of the country at the closest military facility; those interested must bring the "cartilla", voting card and Population Register Single Number (CURP) in original and copy.

When handing in the “Cartilla”, applicants will receive a receipt; it is worth mentioning that all the services are cost-free.

Mexican women are invited to voluntarily carry out National Military Service, to receive additional information, please go to the point of reception of "cartillas".
