The Mexican Army detained Cleotilde Toribio Rentería (a.k.a.) “El Tilde”, leader of the criminal group “Guerreros Unidos” Lomas de Sotelo, Mexico City, July 11, 2012.- National Defense Secretariat informs the public opinion that on July 9, 2012, Military Personnel of the Mexican Army in support of Public Security, within the Mexican State's Integral Strategy against drug trafficking and Organized Crime carried out search, collection and analysis of information for the planning of a precision operation in Santa Fe, D.F., coordinated and executed by troops of Army Special Forces resulting in the detention of CLEOTILDE TORIBIO RENTERÍA (a.k.a.) “El Tilde” leader of the criminal group “Guerreros Unidos” and MARIO SAÚL FARFÁN ORTIZ, accountant of such criminal group which maintains presence in coastal regions and in the north of the estate of Guerrero, as well as in the municipalities in the touristic corridor in Morelos.
TORIBIO RENTERÍA, was given an order of arrest as a result of being the alleged responsible one for organized crime in Ciudad Altamirano, Gro TORIBIO RENTERÍA, in 2005 started his criminal career as a member of the criminal group “Los Pelones”, led by the convicted EDGAR VALDEZ VILLARREAL (a.k.a.) “La Barbie”. With presence in the municipalities of Coyuca de Catalán and Ciudad Altamirano, Gro., afterwards he expanded its control in the areas of coastal regions and in the north of Guerrero and some municipalities in Morelos, where he is alleged responsible of the events related to kills, kidnappings and extortions. In 2010, TORIBIO RENTERÍA joined the so-called “Cartel Independiente de Acapulco” (C.I.D.A.), led by MOISÉS MONTERO ÁLVAREZ (a.k.a.) “El Koreano”, and then he left the group along with CRISTIAN HERNÁNDEZ TARÍN (a.k.a.) “El Cris”, to create the criminal group “Comando del Diablo” and/or “La Barredora” from which he left again as a result of internal problems. In 2011 created the criminal group “Los Guerreros Unidos” with presence mainly in in the Municipalities of Iguala, Taxco and Ciudad Altamira, Gro., as well as Cuernavaca, Mor., starting a violence wave confronting criminal organizations “La Familia” and “Beltrán Leyva”, creating an environment of insecurity and fear. During their detentions $1.200.000,00 Mexican pesos (five hundred dollars.) two long guns and four vehicles were seized. With the detentions of CLEOTILDE TORIBIO RENTERÍA (a.k.a.) “El Tilde” and MARIO SAÚL FARFÁN ORTIZ, the operational and security capability of the criminal group “GUERREROS UNIDOS”, was significantly affected, since he was one of the most active criminals in Gerrero and Morelos. The detainees and the items seized were put at the turned into the Federal Public Prosecutor in the Assistant Attorney General's Office for Special Investigations on Organized Crime (S.I.E.D.O.). It is important to state that these actions are part of the efforts conducted by the Mexican Army an Air Force in order to finish in a decisive manner the manifestations of violence to be able of neutralize the individuals directly responsible of illegal activities affecting the general populations. This Secretariat endorses its commitment to recover security requested by citizens, especially in those cities presenting a higher rate of crime, drug trafficking and sell, as well as to contribute to diminish violence and to create necessary security conditions for the development and well-being of the Mexican society. -0-0-0-0-0-
