"Mexican Army seized over 28 kilograms of crystal in Mexicali, B.C."

Mexico City, Lomas de Sotelo, July 6, 2011.- The National Defense Secretariat informs the public that within the framework of the Integral Strategy of the Mexican State to Fight Drug Trafficking and Organized Crime, on July 5, 2011, troops of the 2nd Military Zone, while performing land reconnaissance in the living complex Montecarlo, municipality of Mexicali, B.C., detained two individuals in possession of:
 
• 28.2 kg of crystal.
• 1.1 kg of cocaine.
• One long gun.
• Two hand guns.
• 751 rounds of ammunition for different calibers.
• Three magazines for different firearms.
• 9,500 U.S. dollars.
• A home-made press.
• One vehicle.

The seized items and detained individuals were turned over to the corresponding authorities.
